Sheriff’s office on look out for beer, pretzel thief

A Watkinsville man is suspected of trying to shoplift beer and pretzels from Ingles Grocery in Hull last week. A store employee told Deputy Jeff Strickland that he observed a man pushing a shopping cart with four 36-packs of Bud Light beer and a pack of Snyder’s pretzels toward the exit of the store without paying for them. Man charged with pedestrian under the influence

A Comer man was arrested recently after a deputy found him lying in the middle of Hwy. 72. Spencer Levar Howard, 31, 2346 Sims Kidd Road, was charged with one count of pedestrian under the influence.
