BOC postpones action on airport staff, to vote Aug. 3

Action on hiring two additional staff members at the county airport was postponed Monday night by the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. Atlanta woman arrested at Hoschton bank

An Atlanta woman was arrested last week by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly attempting to pass two fraudulent checks at a Hoschton bank. Royal Arlethia Grooms, 50, was charged with burgulary. She was arrested after a deputy was called to the Freedom Parkway, Hoschton, bank about a woman trying to cash a fraudulent check. In ...
