A suspect who shot a man in Hoschton tried to hug his victim and offered to take him to a hospital, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Child involved in near-drowning incident

A two-year-old child remained in critical condition on Tuesday, a day after he fell in a pool. Shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday, a child fell in a pool at a Skelton Road residence in West Jackson.
