Winder Police were called to a soccer field on 2nd Street last week in response to a reported fight between two men. When police arrived, one of the subjects said he was driving and “somehow his vehicle struck another vehicle,” but he did not know how it happened. Dozens of people gathered in Winder last Friday to honor the nearly three thousand Americans killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The Winder Dixie Cruisers are hosting a benefit car show Saturday, September 26 for Lance Witt, a six-year-old heart transplant recipient.
