A Winder man was arrested last week after striking his stepson and assaulting his wife. According to the wife, Anthony Wayne King, 30, of 23 Hosch Circle in Winder, became violent and threw a can of beer at her. The Barrow County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will hold a training exercise on Saturday, October 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. in downtown Winder. A Winder man was arrested after driving drunk and nearly striking a police vehicle. A Barrow County man remains hospitalized after being bitten multiple times by a friend’s dog. The man, Michael Cape, was visiting Scott Bowen when Bowen’s dog, an American Bulldog and Pit Bull mix, attacked.
