Jackson Countians should have received a tax bill in the mail in the past week. Taxes are due on Dec. 20. Tax commissioner Don Elrod said that the state Homestead tax relief grant was not funded this year, which made an increase in taxes for properties that had previously received the grant. The Panther Basketball Kids Day Camp will be held on Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. through noon at the Jackson County Comprehensive High School gym. A Braselton man’s vehicle rolled out of his garage, across the street and hit a neighbor’s parked vehicle, according to police.
