Convenience store burglarized

A Hwy. 106 convenience store was reportedly burglarized early Sept. 28. According to the incident report, Jai’s Country Corner was broken into around 2 a.m. through a busted out back door. Attempt to mediate domestic dispute fails

An hour long attempt by a Barrow County Sheriff’s deputy to mediate a domestic dispute ended with the arrest of two people. The deputy was dispatched to 1653 White Oak Drive in Winder to investigate a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the deputy was met by Nancy Ellen Thomas, 50. Man arrested after altercation with juvenile

Statham Police were called to a Sunset Drive address last week to investigate a domestic dispute. Jonathan Davenport, 37, of 1193 Highland Oaks in Athens, was charged with simple battery against a juvenile at the location. No further details are available.
