Barrow County firefighters are joining fire departments nationwide in designating October 4 - 10 as Fire Prevention Week. Winder Police will immediately begin aggressive enforcement of the 25 mile per hour speed limit in the area of Russell Middle School at Midland Avenue. Reservoir hours, boat regulations changed

Two weeks after the Bear Creek Reservoir was finally opened for limited boating access, its owners adopted the amended rules governing the lake’s use.
