Woman pulled from burning car in Arcade wreck

Arcade police chief Randy Williams and motorists who stopped at a wreck Thursday morning in Arcade saved the life of a woman trapped in a burning car. Lula Little was pulling onto the bypass when her car was struck by a dump truck. The car quickly caught fire and those who stopped only had minutes to get her out. Williams said that Kevin Bailey ... Winder-Barrow Speedway racer Perry Crowe, driver of the #9 Modified 4 Cylinder car, competed in the state championship race at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala. this past weekend. A little bit of luck helped the Banks County Lady Leopards out last week as the girls took a 4-3 win over East Jackson on Thursday. But it’s not all luck as the Lady Leopards also added a 12-0 sweep over Rabun and a 9-0 sweep over Oglethorpe this week. CHS Cross-Country Ladies Improve Times

Commerce’s cross-country runners showed improvement last week at Madison County in the Tigers’ second meet. On the girls’ squad, Sierra Martinez and Kacee Cooper improved their run times.
