Fire destroys home on Adams Clarke Road

A fire destroyed the home of Robert Austin at 2246 Adams Clarke Road around 9:30 Friday morning. Austin and two other residents of the home escaped without injury. Hull woman charged with assault

A Hull woman was arrested recently after deputies were dispatched to a mobile home park concerning a domestic dispute. A Danielsville man was killed in a car accident on Hwy. 29 in Clarke County Wednesday morning. While county homeowners will see a $240 hike on their tax bills due to the state’s discontinuation of the Homeowners’ Tax Relief Grant, Colbert residents won’t see an increase in their city taxes.
