The Commerce cross country team ended its season last Thursday at the region 8-A championships at Athens Christian. Commerce finished last of seven teams with a score of 197 with an average run time of 22:37.80 and a total race time of 1:53:09.00. An Auburn woman called police when her 17-year-old son became enraged during a disagreement. The woman said she turned off her son’s cell phone when he attempted to call his girlfriend’s mother. Banks County will once again be represented in Carrollton for the GHSA cross country State Championships. The 2009 state meet is Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Carrollton High School course.
