Statham hosting tour of homes

Historic Statham is hosting a Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1 - 5 p.m. All three downtown churches will be included in the tour as well as six of Statham’s historic homes. A Loganville man called the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office to complain that his mechanic was holding his car in lieu of payment. Statham Police are investigating two recent burglaries. On Nov. 24, an Eighth Street residence was burglarized. Three flat screen televisions were reported missing. Woman reports money missing

An Auburn woman called police to report $100 missing from a locked box. The woman informed police that she kept the money in the locked box under her bed. When she counted the money on the morning of Nov. 27, she had $980. The woman advised that when she recounted the money that evening, she only had $880. According to the woman, the box was ... A Sugar Hill man was arrested last week on charges stemming from a recent case of identity theft in Auburn. Winder Police responded to multiple cases of entering autos during the past week. On Nov. 24, three autos were entered at a residence on Woodlawn Avenue. None of the vehicles were locked. Cynthia DeLong was employed as the custodial coordinator for Barrow County Schools from Feb. 25, 2008 until her termination on Oct. 27, 2008.
