The City of Winder’s annual Christmas Parade is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. The parade begins at the Ingles on Broad Street and passes through downtown. A woman called police last week after repeatedly being groped by a neighbor. According to the victim, her neighbor, Freddie Thurmond, age 56 of 201 A Georgia Avenue in Winder, grabbed her crotch as she walked past him. Winder child killed in traffic accident

A two-year-old Winder child was killed Sunday when the vehicle driven by her father, Brian Gray, 31, was rear-ended on I-85 northbound near exit 18 in Troup County.
