CHS Grapplers Head To Panther Invitational

The high school wrestling season is under way. The Commerce Tiger grapplers started the season on Tuesday, hosting Franklin County and Chestatee. After opening up tournament play at Kennesaw Mountain with a win over St. Pius, the Lady Panthers of Jackson County followed last week with a loss to Lovett before ending their tournament with a victory over Gordon Central. Danielsville man charged with DUI

A Danielsville man was arrested recently for DUI and numerous other charges. BCS facing second employee lawsuit

Another former employee of Barrow County Schools has filed suit against the school system. Cynthia DeLong was employed as the custodial coordinator for Barrow County Schools from Feb. 25, 2008 until her termination on Oct. 27, 2008. Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services will kick off its annual “Empty Stocking Toy Drive” on Dec. 5. The City of Winder’s annual Christmas Parade is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. The parade begins at the Ingles on Broad Street and passes through downtown.
