Gaming systems, televisions stolen in burglaries

Winder Police are currently investigating three burglaries in which the thieves stole gaming systems and other electronics. On Dec. 15, burglars used a rock to break the glass out of the back door of a Second Street residence. The thieves stole an Xbox 360 and a PS3 from the home. BOC approves funds for lights at Hoschton Park

The new recreation fields in West Jackson will soon have lights following action by the Jackson County Board of Commission Monday night. Driver forgets to trash drugs in vehicle

A Hoschton man told deputies that the drugs, needles and other narcotic-related items found in his vehicle were just trash that he forgot to toss, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The Braselton Town Council approved $10.2 million in revenue water and sewer bonds during a called meeting on Monday.
