Prison escapee caught in Banks County

A Banks County Sheriff’s Office deputy apprehended a prison escapee on Friday, Jan. 15, on Carson-Segars Road. Sheriff Charles Chapman said that Anthony Eugene Miller, 29, an escapee from the Phillips State Prison in Buford, was taken into custody on Friday. The Baldwin City Council voted Monday night to void a contract with Woodard & Curran on a proposed upgrade to the wastewater treatment plant.
