Statham Police investigated two reports of shoplifting during the past week. Police arrested Bryan Bradshaw, 18, of Statham for shoplifting in connection with an incident at an Atlanta Highway business. A Statham woman was arrested on numerous charges after being stopped for driving a vehicle with an altered drive out tag. When the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed that the female driver, later identified as Felecia Rodgers, 39, of 1646 Amalie Drive in Statham, had red and glassy eyes. A 25-year-old Auburn woman became violent after being asked to leave her mother’s home. Amber Jeannette Smith, of 348 Austin Way in Auburn, was cursing and acting belligerently when her mother told her to leave the house. Hoping perhaps to steal his or her way to a life of luxury, a thief snatched a roll of lottery tickets from a Winder business. The thief stole approximately 30 “Red Hot Millions” tickets from the counter of the Jet Market on Broad Street. The tickets have a retail value of $10 each. In a few months, people arrested for felony drug crimes in Barrow County will have a choice: face jail or attend drug court.
