Firefighters respond to smoke in residence

Barrow County firefighters were dispatched to Euclid Street in Statham early on Jan. 2 after residents discovered smoke emanating from the heating vents. Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man wanted in several Georgia counties after receiving a tip from an anonymous bail bondsman. A Winder man was found crying at the East Midland Shell station after crashing into another vehicle and then leaving the scene. Police arrested David A.
