A Bethlehem man was arrested after allegedly pointing a loaded AK-47 at three men. The man, identified by Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies as Richard Eugene Hopkins, 50 of 877 Manning Gin Road, accused the men of cutting down trees on his property without permission. A Winder woman became alarmed after noticing that her dog was barking at some bushes. Believing there was a prowler in the yard, the woman called 911. A Grier Road family returned home on Dec. 23 to find the front door to their house ajar and all but two presents taken from under the family’s Christmas tree.
