An Auburn man was arrested after repeatedly calling 911 to report crimes which had not occurred. Jason Randall Chance, 43, of 24 Autry Road in Auburn, called for police assistance several times on Jan. 22. At one point, Chance admitted to officers that he has been using methamphetamine. Barrow County School officials now admit they do not know who sent the email accusing former Apalachee High School teacher Ashley Payne of inappropriate conduct on the social networking site Facebook.
