An 83-year-old Statham man is $5,000 poorer after falling victim to two scam artists. According to the victim’s daughter, a man by the name of Earl Masters visited her father’s house a few weeks ago to discuss putting a new roof on the home. Deputies with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office were called to 1058 Clacktown Road on Friday morning in reference to an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased white male.
