A move to ask the Georgia Department of Revenue to conduct a performance review of all phases of the county’s property valuation process is on hold. JHS student charged with rape

A Jefferson High School senior has been charged with rape following an incident that allegedly occurred in a bathroom at the school. Dylan Thomas Corbett, 18, was also charged with aggravated sodomy. Apartment building damaged by fire

Several residents were displaced after a Feb. 2 fire damaged an apartment building on Apperson Drive. Mechanic’s son arrested for stealing car

A Bethlehem man was arrested after reportedly stealing a car from his father’s business. Wesley Eugene Martin, 29, of 838 Arch Tanner Road, was charged with theft by taking, entering auto and criminal trespass in connection with the Jan. 22 incident.
