The state’s outdoor burn ban in 54 Georgia counties will start Saturday, May 1, and end on Thursday, Sept. 30. A Winder man is being held in the Gwinnett County jail after being charged with possession of an explosive device. Michael Brewer, 42, of Winder, was one of three passengers in a car driven by Matthew Henry Rothove, 44, of Flowery Branch.
