A Winder woman is dead after an April 6 accident on Hwy. 11 near Lamar Giles Road. The woman, identified by the Georgia State Patrol as Mary Linda Brendle, 39, was northbound in the 700 block of Jefferson Highway when her vehicle left the roadway, careened down an embankment and struck a brick sign. A Winder woman is dead after an accident this morning on Hwy. 11. The woman was northbound in the 700 block of Jefferson Highway when her vehicle left the roadway and careened down an embankment. ‘Barrow’s Got Talent’ set for April 10

The inaugural “Barrow’s Got Talent” competition will be held Saturday, April 10 at the Barrow County Recreation Department. Statham Police investigating thefts

Statham Police are currently investigating the theft of a four-wheeler and dirt bike from a Railroad Street residence. The vehicles were reported stolen on March 25.
