April 16 marked the deadline for returning the 2010 Census questionnaires. The Census Bureau advised last week that households which returned their forms after April 16 would likely be visited by census workers beginning May 1 as they go door to door to collect census responses. Auburn raising rental fees for city’s park facilities

The Auburn City Council at its next meeting plans to vote on whether to change some of the rental fees for certain park and leisure facilities. Graham drops out of state senate race

Car damaged at Downriggers

A Jefferson man exited Downriggers bar last week and discovered that all four tires on his 2001 Cadillac Deville had been punctured. The man’s girlfriend said she believed her ex-boyfriend may have been responsible for the damage.
