WBHS to complete spring work Tuesday

The Winder-Barrow High School football team will host a spring scrimmage Tuesday at 7 p.m. at W. Clair Harris Stadium. Coach David Wagner said the event will last approximately 90 minutes. The East Jackson Lady Eagles track season came to an end over the weekend at the state meet in Albany. The only member of the East Jackson team to qualify for state competition was Brooklyn Watkins. Commerce’s Lady Tigers’ track team completed its season with a trip to the state meet this past weekend. The trip to Albany, resulted in a third-place finish for one Lady Tiger. The Jackson County Touchdown Club has several events scheduled for this week as spring football practice wraps up. The Commerce diamond Tigers suffered a pair of first-round blowouts last Friday as Landmark Christian end Commerce’s run in the Class A state baseball tournament.
