Auburn man charged with manufacturing meth

An Auburn man is facing numerous charges after a dispute with his former roommate led to the discovery of a methamphetamine manufacturing operation. Dear Editor: While the article “Writing tests results mixed” (May 12 edition) indicated the test results were up and down, overall the scores were worse by an average of 2.4%. BOE continues to iron out budget details

The Barrow County Board of Education continues to iron out the details for the upcoming fiscal year budget, which it hopes to approve June 1. The tentative budget for FY2011 is $89 million although a couple of issues remain a concern for some board members.
