An Auburn woman called police after discovering that someone had released a cat from a trap in her yard. The woman said she had been having difficulty with stray cats getting into her garden. Barrow County firefighters will be collecting donations May 13-15 during the 21st annual “Give Burns the Boot” drive. Rec dept seeking grant for concession area

The Madison County Recreation Department is seeking a $50,000 matching grant for a concession area for the planned soccer fields at the Sammy Haggard Park off Hwy. 98.
