A Winder man locked himself in a maintenance storage room at the YMCA and called 911 after hearing what he thought was a threat. Man sentenced to five years for burglary

A Pendergrass man was sentenced to prison April 14 after a Madison County jury found him guilty on two counts of burglary. James Michael Reidling, 37, 1160 Wayne Poultry Road, Pendergrass, was sentenced to five years confinement and 10 years probation for two counts of burglary. He was also fined $1,475. A Braselton man may think twice before visiting Winder in the future. Mark Anthony Lance, 28, of 4533 Bennefield Road in Braselton, was stopped by Winder police just before 8 a.m. on April 16 after an officer ran Lance’s tag and discovered it returned to a Chevrolet Lumina instead of the S10 Blazer on which it was displayed. Last week’s BarrowJournal.com poll asked respondents if they believed recent budget meetings held by the City of Winder violated the state’s open meeting law.
