An 82-year-old woman escaped injury when her Winder home was firebombed earlier this week. Eldonia Watson, a wheelchair bound great-great-grandmother, was asleep inside her Elm Street residence when someone threw a flaming Molotov cocktail onto her front porch. Food distribution scheduled for May 27

The Barrow County Mobile Food Pantry, in partnership with The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, will be at Holly Hill Mall distributing food to those in need on Thursday, May 27, from 9 a.m. until all food has been distributed. This community outreach is open to all residents of Barrow County.

Statham expects to break even with its proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2010-2011. In all, the city is expecting $2,161,728 in revenue and the same amount in expenses.
