Unlicensed cyclist exceeds 100 mph on 316

An unlicensed motor cycle operator was arrested after being clocked traveling 106 mph in a 65 mph zone. A Barrow County Sheriff’s deputy was traveling westbound on Hwy. 316 when he witnessed a black motorcycle approaching at a high rate of speed. New 911 center dealing with ‘minor’ issues

Plastic manufacturing plant moving to Carl

Though no formal announcement has yet been made, Schutz Container Systems, a German owned plastics manufacturer, is expected to move its Georgia plant from Doraville to Carl sometime in late fall 2011 or early 2012.
