Two charged with narcotics possession

Two men were arrested recently after a prescription narcotic was found in their possession during a traffic stop. Contractors to survey Jackson EMC poles

Jackson EMC has begun a joint-use pole survey in which contractors will review 130,000 poles, starting in Gwinnett County, and work their way through Jackson EMC’s service territory. A Dewy Rose man was arrested recently after he reportedly slapped his ex-girlfriend so hard he knocked a tooth out in the presence of their three small children. Ila corrects water bill problem

Ila residents may have noticed a difference on their water bills last month. The discrepancy was due to the new computer system the city has in reading the meters. Jobless rate dips in Madison Co.

The unemployment rate dipped slightly in Madison County in May, according to figures released recently by the Georgia Labor Department.
