Banks County residents will be paying more for county water as of Jan. 1. The board of commissioners unanimously agreed Tuesday night to increase the water rates by .25 cents per 1,000 gallons used. A Banks County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle on Mount Sinai Road at Westmoreland Road on Sunday, July 11.
