A Braselton woman said her ex-husband left a disturbing message in birthday cards for her two daughters, according to police. The woman said her ex-husband left the birthday cards in her mailbox while she wasn’t home, according to an incident report. New watering rules give Georgians more flexibility in their watering habits. Systemax Inc. to bring hundreds of jobs to area

The Jefferson Development Authority approved a $15 million bond inducement resolution in a called meeting Thursday for Systemax Inc., which plans to locate a large distribution center in the city. Darren Glenn case heard by Supreme Court

The Georgia Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday morning in the case filed by former Jefferson police chief Darren Glenn against the City of Jefferson. Former Jackson County Commissioner Forrest Hagan, who served from 1990 to 1996, died died Monday, July 5. Hagan was appointed to serve on the board of commissioners in 1990 by the grand jury to fill an unexpired term.
