The unemployment rates in Barrow and Jackson counties aren’t getting any better. The rate climbed in both counties in June, setting the stage for what many believe could be a double-dip recession. Teen threatened by neighbor while retrieving basketball

A Winder man admitted threatening a teenager after the youth came onto his property to retrieve a basketball. The man said when he ordered the teen out of his yard, the teen “bowed up” to him. The superintendent of Barrow County's Department of Roads and Fleet was taken to the hospital today after being involved in a wreck.
