Foreclosures up 10 percent in NEGA over last year

Because of two years of recession and a collapsed real estate market, foreclosures in Northeast Georgia are continuing at a fast pace. For the first nine months of 2010, foreclosures in Barrow, Jackson, Madison and Banks counties are running ahead of 2009 at the same point. A Jackson County couple are among the 130 people who survived a plane crash off the coast of Colombia on Monday morning. The couple, David and Carolina Bellino, P.J. Barrow schools to appeal some AYP results

The Barrow County School System will appeal some of its AYP results for the past year.
