Firefighters collect more than $4,000 for MDA

The West Jackson Fire Department recently collected more than $4,000 for the MDA to benefit Jerry’s Kids. A Winder man went looking for trouble last week and found it at a local bar. Police were called to a West Athens Street business after the manager reported that a male, later identified as Leon Herman Tkalec Jr., 47, of 120 Daley Avenue in Winder, was disturbing the peace.
