A Winder man requested an officer come to his house after someone unlawfully removed a couple of items from his property. When the officer arrived, the man walked outside and explained that he had two large watermelons in his garden the previous day. County’s lawsuit expenses exceed $220,000

The Madison County government has spent $223,956 since 2007 in a legal battle over Sam Bruce Road. Man sentenced to three years for theft

A Lexington man was sentenced recently in Madison County Superior Court to three years probation for theft by taking. Christopher Jack McDaniel, 30, 374 Wesley Chapel Road, Lexington, was also sentenced to seven years probation and fined $850 for theft by taking.
