Mother scammed out of bond payment for jailed son

A West Virginia woman is several hundred dollars poorer after attempting to send money to get her son out of jail. The woman said she was contacted by a Bethlehem man who advised that her son was incarcerated. The man said he would bail her son out if she wired $655 to make the bond payment. Thieves target unlocked cars

Several Bethlehem residents became crime victims after leaving their cars unlocked overnight on Aug. 31. At least seven cars were entered. Four of the reported incidents took place on Ron Drive.
