Child injured in pit bull attack

A three-year-old child was seriously injured in a pit bull attack last week. The child and his mother were visiting a Buena Vista residence in Winder on Friday, Sept. 10 when the attack occurred. A Winder woman accused a man of poking her in the eye during a confrontation on Capital Avenue. Police were dispatched to the area after a caller advised a large group of people were fighting in the street.
