The Commerce Cross Country Tigers got their season underway last week in a four-team meet at Rabun Gap. The Tigers will next take part in a meet in Banks County on Thursday, Sept. 30. In light of recent events and the death of Colbert resident Vestal Davis, the city of Colbert has decided to adopt a new animal control ordinance that will mirror that of the county’s. Hull man arrested after leaving wreck scene

A Hull man was arrested recently after he allegedly left the scene after he wrecked his father’s vehicle on Joe Cooper Road. John Foster Williams, 31, of 171 Pebblebrook Lane, was charged with driving while license withdrawn, failure to report striking fixed object and open container.
