Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris was recently marked for death by Muslim cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki for encouraging readers to draw pictures of the prophet Mohammed. Convenience store damaged by gun fire

An Auburn convenience store was riddled by gun fire on Sept. 14. Police were called to the Shell Food Mart on Atlanta Highway after the store owner arrived at work and discovered someone had fired several shots into the windows of the store. Schools in Jackson County saw mixed results for students taking the SAT in 2010, compared to those taking the college entrance exam in 2009.
