FBI seeks former Winder resident

The FBI is currently seeking the location of a former Winder resident for the kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl whose remains were discovered last month in Louisiana. A Monroe man was arrested after being caught in the act of stealing scrap metal. The complainant said he was passing by the Loganville Highway location when he saw a green truck parked outside a building. The bed of the truck was loaded with scrap metal. Mayor Chip Thompson has selected Milledgeville’s finance director to be the next city administrator of Winder. Pit bulls seized after charging children, killing rabbits

A Bethlehem man contacted the Sheriff’s Office after his neighbor’s pit bulls charged his children and killed two of his rabbits. The victim said he had three rabbits in cages on his property. A Winder man called police after discovering his two fox terriers had been shot. Police were called to the Valleyview Drive address on Oct. 25.
