An Auburn Police Department officer was traveling down Hwy. 8 Nov. 29 when he received a call from another officer stating that a red Ford truck was heading his direction and that he had been clocked doing 61 mph in a 45 mph zone. On Nov. 27, Auburn Police Department officers responded to a burglary call on Timberridge Lane. Officers met with the homeowner who claims someone stole a gaming console and a game from her bedroom while her children were in the living room. Alcohol sales on holiday raises questions

A package store owner said another store in Braselton was illegally open and selling alcohol on Thanksgiving, according to an incident report. An owner of Cork and Keg on Ga. A second chance: kitten now has loving home

In late September, a small kitten was brought to Winder Animal Hospital after being thrown from a moving vehicle. Her face was bloodied and bruised, and she was missing many of her baby teeth. Carl residents may prepare for their garbage bills to increase by about $1 per household in the new year. The town’s mayor David Brock met with executives with Waste Pro about billing issues last month.
