EMS incidents dominate calls for firefighters

The City of Jefferson School System will make up four of the missed snow days by attending classes on the following dates: February 17 & 18 April 1 May 5 & 6 The Jackson County School System is scheduled to decide its make-up days at a meeting tonight (Thursday.)

Jefferson woman says couple tries to break into her home

A HWY. 82 South, Jefferson, woman said a man and woman attempted to break into her home last week. The victim told a deputy she heard the couple trying to get inside the home and she yelled at them to stop or she would shoot them. She said she called 911 and then went outside and saw them running from the home.
