Danielsville hires Perry as new city attorney

The Danielsville City Council voted recently to hire Dale Perry as the city’s new attorney. The council agreed to pay Perry $150 per hour, plus a $500 retainer for his services to the city. An Augusta man was charged with DUI recently after a deputy pulled him over for a non-working tag light. Wayne Anthony Pierce, 49, 3942 New Karleen Road, was charged with tag light required, weaving over roadway, seat belt violation, DUI/alcohol and driving without a valid license. Madison County’s sales tax revenues held steady in 2010, though they haven’t risen to pre-recession levels.
