The Commerce men’s golf team is riding a three-match win streak after wins over Banks County and Athens Christian. This will be another busy week, as they play three matches. It was a one game week for the Banks County boys soccer team last week. Last week was rough for the East Jackson soccer teams, as both the boys and girls lost to North Oconee early in the week before the girls won and boys lost to East Hall later in the week. The Madison County track team brought home a third-place finish from Hart County last Thursday. In the tri-meet with Hart and Seneca, S.C., Madison County had several athletes finish inside the top five in their events. A three-goal second half helped push the Winder-Barrow High School Lady Bulldogg soccer team to a 4-1 victory against Rockdale County Tuesday night. Clara Tapplin and Ashley Hagenbaugh helped lead WBHS to the victory. The match was tied at one goal each at halftime but Tapplin scored twice in the second half and finished with three overall. ...
