10-3 Tigers Host Lions Thursday

The Commerce baseball Tigers picked up a pair of wins last week as they topped Athens Christian and Athens Academy. That was tempered by a loss to George Walton that saw Commerce slip to third in the region standings. The Tigers enter play this week, 9-3 in the region and 10-3 overall. The big stormed that blew through the county Monday night toppled part of a pine tree into the roof of Bill’s Barbecue at the Dogsboro intersection of Hwy. 29 and the Hwy. 106 Spur.
