Auburn’s inaugural 2011 Armed Forces Day Parade and Celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the old Ingles parking lot on Atlanta highway, pass through downtown and will officially end at the Hawthorne House on Fourth Avenue. It is the week of high school commencement and Barrow County graduating seniors will be headed off to their next phase of life. Statham to sell submachine gun

On Tuesday, the Statham City Council voted to approve the Statham Police Department to sell or trade a unique weapon it has kept since the early 1970’s.
