Jefferson native Gary Glenn was injured Wednesday in a pedestrian accident in Athens, according to the website Access North Georgia. Glenn, a radio and TV personality in Hall County, was attending a Methodist Church conference when he was struck by a car as the crossed a street in downtown Athens. Confederate Monument falls in Jefferson

A portion of the Confederate Monument fell on Friday while contractors working on the Jefferson Streetscape project in downtown were moving the structure.
